At Grove Performance Psychology Hub, we believe in the incredible potential that lies within each individual athlete and team.
Our mission is to empower minds, unlock potential, and foster wellbeing for both the solitary athlete and the collective strength of a team.
Our team of experienced psychologists specializes in equipping athletes and teams with the mental tools they need to thrive under pressure, overcome challenges, and achieve their personal goals.
Through personalized coaching and evidence-based techniques, we empower athletes to harness the power of their mindset and unleash their full potential, on and off the field.
We work closely with teams to enhance communication, collaboration, and a shared mindset. By addressing the unique challenges that teams face, we empower them to achieve collective excellence while supporting the growth and development of each member.

Our Work
Grove Psychology Principal Clinical Psychologist Michael Philp recently ran a session on this topic for @fremantlecityfc in the under 12 Girls Academy team.
The session focused on helping the girls learn skills in how to give feedback and receive feedback, and by practicing, having real-life experiences that there is an alternative - 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦, 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦.
Feedback is often seen through the lens of judgement.
Giving feedback is seen as "𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐'𝘮 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘶𝘥𝘦".
Receiving feedback is seen as "𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘦".
It's one of many varied reasons why children drop out of organised sport after age 14.
